This fabric-cast ceramic work considers braiding and dress within Kurdish culture as repositories of memory, carrying histories, gestures, and forms of knowledge across generations. Kezî (braid) and Hewrî (women’s headscarf) evoke feminine identity, care, and cultural continuity. Seen from behind, the figure is defined by cascading braids.

By transforming soft textiles into ceramics, the work gives permanence to forms that are worn, touched, folded, braided, and carried on the body. The ceramic holds traces of touch and labor, reflecting on how cultural memory persists and transforms across generations.
